"What was I made for?" Ceramic Bust

$1,000.00

When I was a little girl I had ceramic busts of Mozart and Beethoven next to my piano in my music room. But despite these inspiring figures I never wanted to play the classics, I always craved beautiful, melancholy pop music by women.

This sculpture was created when I was listening to my favourite song by Billie Eilish. This song has me choked up every. Single. Time. The iconic soundtrack brought together groups of women to dress as their favourite Barbie and enjoy girlhood together for one extra special night at the cinema.

Gazing up, this dollified Billie asks what she was made for. She wears a corset decorated with raised chrome stars that seem worn by time.
